Default SE Missouri snow goose hunts

I am now taking reservations for the 2015 SE Missouri snow goose Conservation Order season. This will be my 12th consecutive season. This will be almost 20 years of hunting this area. In that time I have become good friends with many who have hunted with me, some for almost every year. I have also developed a very close relationship with many farmers and landowners and this helps greatly on keeping on the best hunt locations then gaining access to those birds.

The Conservation Order was started to try to increase the numbers of snow, blue and Ross geese that are taken by hunters. We are allowed to use electronic calls, have unplugged shotguns and take as many geese per day and possess as many as we care to.

I hunt over a large spread of the latest and best motion type decoys as well as electronic motion devices. I will typically move my location daily when keeping on the best field makes it necessary. We put out the decoys and gear prior to the hunt and pick them up afterwards. I provide all decoys, white tyvek suits or camo lay-out blinds, all access to the fields as well as transportation from our designated parking area to the hunt location. The hunter provides license, gun and ammo and what ever food items that are needed to get thru the day. The only license that is required during the Conservation Order season is $40 for non-residents and $5 for Mo residents. This permit is good for the entire season. My daily rate is $150 per day per gun for hunters 16 and above. Hunters 10-15 are $100 per day. Booking a hunt requires a 50% deposit that is non-refundable and is due within 2 weeks of booking.

I currently have several good dates available as well as some weekend dates for groups of up to 8 hunters. You book with me, you will hunt with me. The Conservation Order starts on Feb 1,2015.

I can be reached at 270-703-7600, by PM here at Crappie.com, or by e-mail at [email protected]. Rules, guidelines, lodging suggestions, as well as season dates are available at 5 Rivers Taxidermy & Outfitters on the Outfitting Page.

This guy knows his stuff and is second to none in giving you a quality trip. Has lots of connections with farmers in the area where the biggest groups of birds are.

No Conservation season weekend dates for a large group left but do have some small group hunts available for weekends and some good mid-week dates available.

Are you hunting from layout blinds or pits? What town are you close to?

Neither. We use either backboards or plastic chairs with tyveks coveralls and hoods. We base out of Sikeston but hunt all over the Bootheel.
