good report! nice to have a lake all to yourself... thats one fat speckle, that top pic speaks volumns... i been thinking about getting back over there.
Arrived a bit late at Burnt Mills and was surprised to find an empty parking lot. Gotta like having a whole lake to yourself. It was 28 when I put in this morning but I was dressed for the weather and was warm all day long. Surface water temp was 53 and I finally had a semi calm wind day.
I caught crappie from 7' deep in 10' of water to 20' deep in 25' of water. Some on minnows, some on wasshoppah's tipped with minnows, and some casting a black/pink BGBS.
My biggest for the day was 14.25" and 1lb 8oz. I had 5 others over 1lb from 1lb 2oz to 1lb 5oz. I scanned the channel with my side imaging hoping to find the crappie schooled up but I never saw anything of interest. Time to go clean some fish.

good job george. it was a little chilly but what a great day to be on the water. light winds all day and finding active fish makes it all the better. after all the crappie you have been catching at w/b why switch lakes? as always great job and nice pictures. tite lines JIM.B
Sounds like a lonely day, Tapster. You gotta love lonely days--nobody rushing right over to "help" you when they see you swing one or two over the side! I'm surprised that you didn't spot any schools of fish. As LCR cools, I'm spotting schools of bait fish (visually at the surface and with sonar) & where there are bait balls, the specks can't be far away.
