    Default 5/16 Murvaul

Had a pretty good day. My wife and I fished Saturday and caught 40 or so crappie w/ 13 being keepers. It took me a little bit to find them, but they were cooperative once I did. Most were caught on jigs a few on minnows. 12-16 fow around wood and brush. I'll be sure to take my camera next time.

Did you fish the drop off at the bubbler or the 10 foot ridge out from the dam?

It was crowded around the bubbler but I did catch at the ridge by the dam.

I don't know where Rosenthal's Point is but my nephew and I went yesterday and caught 40 keepers and 4 catfish. Pretty nice sized ones. The ridge about 150 yards from the dam worked well.

Lots of waves on saturday and sunday. They must be giving those big boats with the ski racks away!

You are more brave than me to fish Murvaul on a holiday weekend. My dad and I went today and the crappie slowed down. We got there later than planned and caught thirteen keepers, then it seemed like the catfish ran them out. We caught about and twenty something cats and they were biting good until we left.

My road rage follows me to the lake when the skiers, pleasure boaters, and jet ski riders start thinking the lake was built entirely for them. Some people completely forgot all they were taught about being courteous and respectful.

I think we should start carrying paint ball guns and shooting the hulls and marking the buthead skiiers that act like that ...so when they put their boats up we can quietly drill holes in their hulls!

Sounds like a good plan to me.
