Hit LOP today. Couldnt get on the main lake due to the wind. Ran in Meddlin creek but the wond was still bad and had maybe 3 bites. Jumped over to the spillway and fished there for about 4hrs. Caught 35-40 and 10 keepers.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Thinking around March 11 spawn will be on like donkey kong hoping to pick up some of those big males fanning with their tux on.
Very well could be. I know some guys caught shallow last weekend but i couldnt get anything. I just jigged straight down with minnows to get bites in about 15ft. That was in the channel after the spillway.

FYI, I knew of a few guys on the lake sunday and it wasnt looking good. One set was in a cove hitting shallow water and the other set was north of 155 bridge. Neither did all that well. On the river south of the spillway is where the most action was. I had 10 and a buddy had 15. 1 jig and 9 on minnows.

I've never fished that river I did look at it last year though I've always fished the lake will probably hit that river this year though will be coming on the 17th for 2 weeks hope to find them somewhere. Usually do just have to hunt for them.
Yeah they can be a pain. The ramp at the river can be troublesome getting in and out. Its pretty rough. The 2nd bend turns to the left. Its the deepest part that i know of. I just drop anchor and straight jig or skip a hair jig on the bottom. Seems to work good there
