I have used several lines over the years and currently use Cajun red & Mr. Crappie 10 lb for trolling. Both of the lines I'm using now are good but I see a lot of folks swapping the slimeline so I just wanted to your thoughts on what you are using. Its hard for me to pull the trigger on $43.00 for 1/4 spool of line.

Mr Crappie Hi-Viz 4 or 6 pound. Use your drag the right way and never lose a fish because of a broken line.

Viscious, Mr Crappie, BP Crappie Maxx. I don’t troll, so most are 2#-6# test.

Vicious 10lb mono hi-viz. I use to use Mr Crappie 10lb hi-viz, and I need another spool and was forced to use Vicious. I believe I like it better than Mr Crappie due to less breakage.

12 pound Trilene Big Game Solar Collector Green. I lose far less cranks on this than I did on 10. I don't worry about the difference it might make in the depth of a bait according to dive charts. Add a few feet of line and keep on pulling.

On my 5 long rods ... 4 have braid (10lb - 30lb test) and one has Maxima Red (10lb test), but all will have leaders of 6-8lb test (Vicious Panfish, Stren Super Knot, Mr Crappie camo, or Berkley Iron Silk).
Most of my "trolling" is actually "Pushing" jigs. Rest of the time I'm usually casting jigs w/6# test Vicious.
