    Don't overlook the PICO lures. They will put fish in the boat. I've had some good trips using them on JPP

    I got Scotty brand. I know that's not usual crappie caliber but I wanted something that would hold up to striper or big cats too.

    I have two Scotty triple-bases with Cabelas quickdraw holders. I do six rods, in the two triple-holders, off the back for cats, and have a good spread. My kids use them like they're deep sea fishing to reel in all their cats. It may take them a while to get them in, but they haven't lost a rod that way. It's fun to watch them catch "the biggest fish ever". IDK why they wouldn't work for trolling crappie.
