    Default Hint about straw hats

Mine and others seemed to tear up in places you touched and finaly would break. What I did was to smear clear sealer from an old tube I had around on the places that were going bad and it has helped toughen them up and slow the damage. Hope this helps. I'm holding on to "MY" lucky hat as long as I can

I used some marine sealer I got at Walmart. I'm guessing any kind of clear sealer would do. When it dries it makes a place where the strands are glued together and protected from moving and getting crushed

Why not make you a loop of a clear line of some diameter and with a needle put it in the crown of the hat, make the loop large enough to get your finger through to put your hat on and take it off. That way you don't have to squeeze or pinch the straw to remove or put it on.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
