    Default JPP report 5/19

We launched about 5:45 AM last Saturday. The ramp was crowded with lots of like minded folks heading out to fish. We started out long lining 4 jigs and trolling 2 crank baits and caught a couple early, but it was really pretty slow for the first hour or so. We were marking a lot of fish 5 to 10 feet down in 12 to 15 FOW, but not getting much action. I finally decided to try a different part of the cove where there is a smaller point, then a drop off followed by a bigger point. We marked fish there as well and found some crappie that were willing to provide some action. My wife, of course, caught the big fish of the day, a 14 inch black crappie. We picked up a couple of nice bonus white bass as well, and ended the trip about 11:30 when the water lice showed up in force.

Nice TARP Crappie. The weekends are getting hectic on the area lakes now. Catch them early then get home!

Nice report! I'm hoping to squeeze in a JPP trolling cranks trip with the kids sometime soon. Never know what you are going to catch.

Thanks for the report. I've been too busy to get there, but hopefully soon.

Good job sir! Have not been out past week or so. We are back in Missouri to see our brand new baby granddaughter. Hope to get back out on Monday and get in amongst the wave runners and wake boats. Will be interesting for sure.

Had about the same luck you had. We pulled bandits (300's)= 4 only. Had 4 fish over 14 " out of 15. Could not fish long because of darkness, but lot's and lot's of good times on the water. None of the fish had eggs if that tells ya anything. Could not remember how to post a pic, i'll try later when my memory gets better.
Thanks for your post and pic's I always like to see what others are doing------------- Midtin
