I took a friend, Debbie B, crappie fishing this morning. Today was the first decent day, weather wise, that we have had. Wind was 1-3 mph, sunny early, then it clouded up for a few minutes, and got sunny again. The numbers were few, but the quality was great. I took enough home for 3 bags in the freezer. The biggest crappie was a 13" beauty that Debbie wrestled in. I did run the dip net for her. I'm sort of getting used to netting big crappie for my guests. Grin. Debbie also caught a little Smallmouth bass.
Ghastly Minnow with a white powder painted head was the hottest lure although we caught fish on other colors. Most fish were 9-10 feet deep today. The water temp was 52.6 or up a couple of degrees from yesterday. We started at 9 and quit at 12:35. Good short trip. This warm weather will get the fish to seriously thinking about getting very shallow.

Good job! I think I may have figured out where the bigger fish have gone on Ft Loudoun. The flood washed em to the Chick!!
