    Default Chickamauga fishing report 2-23-2018

Went out today mostly to put some gas through the motor. Mission accomplished. Every thing rang like a top.

I stopped at a couple of deep water spots. All the crappie were shorts.

I tried one dock to shoot and only caught a small SM Bass. Still fun on an ultra light rod!

The water was 56* in the river and up to 60* in the back of sloughs.

The air temp. said it got up to 80*

Thank you. My report on Ft Loudoun today would be very similar.

Candi, it looks more like a good spotted bass to me, but I have been wrong before. Once. LOLOL

Yeah ... I'm pretty sure that's a Smallie. A KY Spotted Bass would have a more white belly with the black spots running along it and a more defined black center line stripe.
But, in either case, it looks like a nice sized fish, and probably provided you with some serious pullage !!
