I'll be moving to TN in the next couple of months, starting a new job in Manchester. Any suggestions for crappie nearby Manchester/Murfreesboro areas?

Kicker, welcome to Tn. You might want to check out the Middle Tn. Crappie Club. We fish all 3 lakes plus have members that fish Priest. We meet every 3rd thursday at Skip's Grill in Winchester. You can find contact info on our club page. Good luck with your move.
Welcome to Manchester. Great place to live and fish. You have your choice and do not forget the middle tennessee crappie club!

Thanks for responses fellas. Looks like I will be heading that way soon but I don't plan to bring my boat up for a couple of months. I'm leaving my family in Mississippi until the end of the school year so I'm planning on running back to Mississippi to see the family and fish the big 4 corps lakes every chance I get.
Sounds like I have plenty of options.
Sore lip slab thanked you for this post
welcome to tn,kicker!our club (mtcc) fish the 3 lakes mentioned and also there are several other lakes around within 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. drive from Manchester.again welcome
GOD loves fishermen, the earth is 75% water
Just wanted to say hey and welcome to the area. I live near Normandy Lake and just because I'm only a mile from two boat ramps this is where I usually fish. It's hard to make myself drive for an hour when I could be fishing...
As others said Woods Reservoir and Tims Ford are both good lakes with their own special attributes. Tims is more deep and clear while Woods is more shallow with vast flats once you are out of the river channel. Both offer good crappie fishing as well as other species. Smallmouth bass are awesome at Tims and the lake has Stripers and hybrids. Woods bass tend to run smaller on average but occasionally you will stumble upon a whopper. Tims has some good walleye fishing. Normandy walleye was off last year but the TWRA did some stocking so anglers are hoping that will help.
I write a weekly column for some local newspapers and have for decades so I try to keep up with what is going on. It is assumed that if an angler is telling you where he caught his fish he is possibly (some think most likely) stretching the truth a little. So when I report what I've heard I tell people I'm an expert at passing along second hand fishing lies. I always tell the truth if I do well...because nobody is going to believe it...lol
Finally I am also a realtor/auctioneer and would be glad to help you do some house hunting when and/or if you get ready once you are settled in the area. If you want my contact info email me at [email protected]
Welcome to TN!
Can't offer any advice on that side of the state but I would like to recommend for you to look into a "Lifetime License" IF the state of Ms offers one before you move yourself and your family!!
Tn offers one and at the time would have cost me $1200, I did not purchase mine when I moved to Mo thinking they would not honor it....boy was I wrong and kick myself every time I think about it.
I have been paying $407 for NR TN license (all inclusive) for the last 10 years now so that $1200 would have been a wash after 3 years.
Just something I like to mention as I don't want others to make the same mistake (if your state offers a lifetime license) I did if you are like myself and go back home to visit family and hunt/fish. I only hunt/fish in TN and that just adds to the misery
kicker LIKED above post
Kicker you'll enjoy it over this way for sure. All the lakes spoke of will put you on some slabs. Make sure to check out MTC club, bunch of nice folks and those guys know their crappie fishing.
And with that, I'll see you on the water...
