We did some crappie fishing this morning on Clark’s Hill. The fish are heavy on the brush in 20ft water and the piles that topped out at 10-12 were best. We caught 28 which was a surprise due to the non aggressive mood they seemed to be in. The bait had to be in their grille before they would bite.

Visited Pistol Creek again this morning. Caught 33 kept 27. Size was better this time (shoulda took a livewell pic). The brush piles all had fish in them, with some piles loaded. The fish were still finicky and more often than not, swim up to the bait and just look at it. At times that was really frustrating.
A little windy, but overall a good day on the water.

good catch Chris thanks for sharing your trip with us.
I've been wanting to come back to the Hill but not sure when that might be
with my wife sick and now I've came down with an issue I'm not sure how it
will come out_ should know something within the next 2 or 3 weeks.
take care my friend
