I've owned Costas since 2003, they replaced the original pair in 2008 at no cost to me. I still own this pair and have since added a second pair as a spare. I don't know how their new warranty/repair program is now...When I bought the first pair their warranty was like Cabelas, no questions asked to repair/replace. If you can swallow the original investment, the quality/warranty is the best value in my opinion.

$8 pair of WallyWorld clip-ons over my prescription glasses. Easy to see if the cloud cover changes rapidly- just a flip.
For a number of years it was the wally world $20 ones which I thought were great. About 10 years ago I bought an Abu reel that had a Wiley X promotion (free sunglasses) with it. At that point, I realized the difference a quality pair can make. As someone said about another brand, I used too harsh a cleaning product on them and the coatings came off and were ruined. I now have Costas with Glass lenses and LOVE em!

Not a fan of Costa’s. Had several pair and the frame nose pieces or the rubber on the frames failed. Bought some strike king polarized , been satisfied.
Had good luck year before last. My sister in-law worked as a demo agent. She gave me about 10 or 12 pairs of different sunglasses all wrap around except one and it was Helicopter glasses the fold up and fit in your shirt pocket. All were uv protection. Still got a couple pairs. I don't think I'll need to drop a dime anytime soon.

I'm a Costas guy. Got my first pair about ten years ago and realized there was a huge difference in them over cheaper ones I had been wearing. Their customer service is top notch too. I wear the Tuna Alley model and they used to have a rubber piece around the bottom of the frame and through the nose piece. After about 5 years it started coming off. About the same time I dropped mine on a tile floor and the nose piece split in half. I sent them back and they replaced the frames for $60-70. I didn't think that was too bad considering I caused the break... Flash forward to about a month ago and those same glasses started to crack on the nose piece again. I had one lens cracked from stepping on them in the boat too so I reached back out to Costa. Unfortunately my frames are older and they have been changed so "parts" aren't available any more. They were also out of warranty (which I figured was the case). With one cracked lens and the frames cracked I kind of expected them to tell me to buy another pair LOL They kind of did, but they gave me a 50% off coupon code to be used on their site. I thought that was very generous. I reckon it's time to replace my old glasses with a new pair!!

I didnt know what the warranty on Costas was. I just assumed lifetime for the price of their glasses.

I’ve been using RHEOS for last three years. They are polarized, and float! Nice glasses for a midrange price. It’s a Charleston based company with a good selection of models, frame and lens color options.

I have Shady Rays, They are ok but if I wear them all day it makes the side of my head hurt.. You could probably put new lenses in your costas. Google search for replacement lenses, I saw an ad for some company custom making lenses, cheaper then glasses
