How is Don doing> I had a reverse shoulder replacement last September. The doctor finally released me and I was able to make my first fishing trip two weeks ago. My fishing partner had a knew replacement done 7 months ago. Will be praying for Don to have a successful and speedy recovery.

Well I have been moved but not where I wanted. I have been moved to the nursing home rehab area for a while. They fed me so much Ladin that I have lost 20 lbs in 6 days. When I stand up my blood pressure drops 40 pts. Looks like I will be here a couple more weeks.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

    Hey fellas,
I talked with Don this evening for a few minutes. He is still at the VA hospital. His surgery went OK on the knee, but they got his blood pressure and blood sugar messed up due to some of the anesthesia and pain medicine. He can't stand up without his blood pressure dropping so he can't do much of the therapy needed on his knee. He's pretty frustrated, as you might imagine, at not being to make any progress toward going home.
Hopefully things will start to improve so he can get out and go home to work on building his knee up.
Please continue to remember him in your prayers as he works through this ordeal.
In the meantime, he welcomes your calls to help pass the time.

Still needing prayers just found out I got pneumonia so I have got to take antibiotics. Blood sugar seems to be coming down but blood pressure is still acting up. Hopefully I will be home for Christmas

Don, it seems as time is standing still for ya but it just takes a little time for the meds to get you back under control with your sugar and pressure. You will be fine. Try and go with the flow a few more days. Once they get that fixed the therapy will start and before you know it you will be home again. Prayers still with ya friend.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
