    Default Monticello 10-12-17

We left this morning at 5:30 headed for Monticello. Some fog on the way but not to bad. Put in at lower landing & headed out toward the dam. Wind was right for drifting so we started drifting. Bite was good till abut 9:30 when the sun came out & the wind died. Caught most on free lines with corks about 8' deep over 100'. Tried bottom fishing at several spots but only caught a couple.

Quit about 12:30 since it getting hot & only a few fish biting.

Total for trip: 1 perch & 27 cats. Nothing over about 5 lbs.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
