Thread: Anyone still catching crappie up shallow?

Good advice from Stumphunter. He knows Russell as well or better than anyone so if he told me to pull clothespins I would try it.

I pulled 300s week before last on Secession. Caught more spotted bass than crappie in 20 to 25 fow at 10 to 15 feet deep. When you drag through a ball of baitfish, hang on.

Secession is full of cover and I haven't lost a lure yet in 3 trips. I know, now I'm jinxed.

I agree, too hot for day fishing. It's enough to stroke us old geezers out.
