    Default Where do they go

Got on Wylie bout 9:00 this a.m. Water was slick as a mole. Water temp 68. Very slight stain for Wylie. Got rods out and bout 10 minutes BINGO ! . A nice slab bout 11-12 in. Got that one baited and back in and another rod down. A carbon copy. This went on for bout 30 - 45 minutes. 8 fish with 5 good keepers. Minners tightlined from 10 -24 fow. Then it stopped. No bites not even a perch. Kept hunting shallow and deeper. Nothing. A couple small perch , a slimer , and 2 bass was it. Switched to pulling jigs. Only a slimer and small bream. Where did they go? Saw Remus bout 2:00 and did get 2 more small perch. Gave him my 5 I had and called it a day. Where did they go ?

I had the same problem yesterday afternoon at Cane Creek. I played hooky in the afternoon and fished for a few hours, not one bite, only time the rod bent was when it hung on th bottom.. Water temps were 68-70, water flat as glass. Here's the only picture for the day

With the slick water day and a bluebird sky I would say they went deeper and moved into or closer to cover and or structure. Would have been a good time to try docks, brush, standing timber and to troll the channels. Long deep points would be another good place to look but just going deeper would have been the first thing I would have tied. This is just my

Now y'all all know you got to be miserable to catch fish. Clear skies, no wind, perfect temperature????....might as well go home.

Stumpy , I agree on the going deeper. But it only gets to 42 fow in that creek.I tried everywhere except round the docks. Just figured they was smarter than me. And that aint to hard !

I'm guessing Ofish tore em up and is just trying to keep us Wylie warriors at home watching the Panthers play Belmont Abbey
