    Default Russell 9/10/11

It was a nice day on the water and it has been a while, so I was in no hurry to leave.

The water temp was 82 and the fishing was fairly slow. I managed to catch 8 crappie and 1 catfish. The biggest crappie went 1.5 lbs.

These are the biggest four of the eight. Me and the cats had a few fights while cleaning them. :D

    Dir Sir,
Would you share your knowledge of these Crappie with us who had to be at home surfin the forums about real fishing?
Were you tightlining, longlining, freelining, or somthing that is far different? Myself and the general audience are interested on how you do.
    thank you sir

LOL. I know all about the surfing instead of fishing. Sometimes I find it hard to find the time to surf, let alone fish. I have never been a big day time crappie fisherman. In the past I normally fished at nights, so I am by far a good day crappie fisherman. I caught them on a mixture of minnows and jigs around 12-14 fow. I started with a 1/16 oz slider and only caught 1. I caught a few on a 1/32 oz jig that was cast out to let sink with a little twitch every now and then. I fished from 3:30pm to 8pm, so I had a nice mess of fish but nothing to write home about.
