No programming, should be just plug-n-play. You can select the transducer from a menu if it does not automatically detect it.
After five weeks of COVID induced confusion, I am now thinking of fishing again. My question concerns my Garmin Echomap Plus, Chirp, 73sv. It came with a less than adequate CV52HW transducer. While it is OK, it lacked something with the Clear View (DI) mode. After much research I discovered that a GT52HW has a dedicated DI crystal and can replace the original transducer. The question is: can I just hook up the new transducer, which will be real simple, as the crystal is the only difference between the units, or do I also have to reprogram something?
Thanks
