Humminbirds also have a depth alarm to warn when you are getting into too shallow of water when boating. I would think other brand sonars have this also.

    Depth Alarm Settings:
Off, 1 to 100 feet, or 0.5 to 30 meters [International Models only]; Default = Off
Depth Alarm sounds when the depth becomes equal to or less than the menu setting.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Super how did you set it on your garmin? I read the manual and went to settings then my vessel and the option is not there. I have the Striker Plus 9sv. Thanks

It is called Keel Offset on Garmins. Go to SETTINGS to MY VESSEL to KEEL OFFSET

Sorry, I am running a 93sv chirp. Perhaps there are different paths and options between the two since yours is a higher end unit than mine. If someone else doesn't chime in then I would be on the horn to CS, you will get help there quickly.

Apologies sds888, I was thinking of the 7600 series when I replied IDK why. I would think that these had the same options with the same path. CS if you don't hear from someone else.

I would have answered the same as TeeDee. I checked the online manual for the Striker Plus and it says the same thing.
