Default I have the Garmin 73 echo on bow of my crappie boat.

Any ideas on which Panoptix transducer would be best for me? That was whole reason for going with Garmin, but Id like some input from some of you knowledge hounds. Thanks.

I would wait until the PS 22 is available. Check on Garmin's website as it should be ready for release soon.

The Panoptix tr 22 is out now. It can be used to look forward or rotate the transducer face down and it will show under your boat. It has only a 20 degree fan and is not adjustable. I am having one put on my boat now. Using the Garmin 92 sv echomap plus up front. I am mounting the Panoptix on a PVC rod that will make it independent from the trolling motor.

Are you going to manually rotate that rod?

I will try. If I can't I will describe it to you. Years ago I had a portable HB depth finder. I had to buy a Titeloc swivel rod to use the suction cup transducer. The rod is about a half inch. It is 4 feet long. The last 10 inches on the top is bent over 90 degrees. I put it inside the PVC pipe and filled it with spray foam . It attaches to the boat like a rod holder.
Thanks Schins thanked you for this post
