If you're running Garmin units, go with a Garmin trolling motor to take advantages of all the features. I went with a Ghost because I run Lowrance units and have been very pleased with my purchase....

fishing where slabs are, is more important than jig size or color, IMHO.

I use Matzuo Sickle hooks, IMO they are too soft. You better check them after fish caught. They are super sharp though.

I agree with Nimrod, a lot of these jigs are made to catch your pocket book, not fish. Crappie fishing marketing has followed the bass fishing and turkey hunting model.

Not that I'm aware of, as far as I know the only built in Minn Kota transducer that will work with other brands is the US2. Also, you Gen 2 isn't capable of running standalone chirp.
