Hi Vis yellow. When I night stalk I use a blue LED light strip over the side, the yellow line jumps out at you.

I use 6lb test Hi-Vis yellow tied straight to the jig all the time Longlining !!!!

For a little more clarity could you state clear or stain water also. Some of us in clear water lakes get nervous on this topic lol.

Depends on water clarity and technique for me. I prefer 4 lb Hi-Vis on my casting/dock shooting rod and I've caught fish on it in clear and stained water, but IF I'm fishing clear water I normally have another rod on the deck with 4lb clear. If I'm trolling or tightlinging I use 6lb clear. Jig pole varies a lot. I have braid on some with a clear leader, one with clear mono, and one with hi-vis. I do believe line color and size makes a difference in clear water....
But to your question, I do not use a leader with my Hi-Vis.
