    Default My son's best shellcracker!

He and I snuck out this afternoon and hit the beds I found yesterday afternoon. There weren't nearly the numbers I expected and that could be from someone maybe picking them off this morning or who knows?

Anyway, we pulled up and my son actually spotted this fish through his polarized glasses. It was behind the boat motor! After hooking this fish and losing it, he got it to hit again and the second time was the charm. It weighed 1lb15oz., an absolute unit of a redear. I'm a proud dad tonight.

Congratulations, both of you are sticking some big ones. They are a handful when they get that big.

That one is a real plate size, and you both had a good haul. Thanks for the ride along.

Absolute beauties!! That one your son’s holding is one of a very few of his lifetime of that class. Truly a great trip with his Dad.
