    Default Gill day

First day out in almost two weeks. Started at my river spot and first time this year there caught 0. Headed for a couple close lakes for gills, first trip for them in a couple months. They didn't disappoint. Used a small jig tipped with a waxworm. First lake caught fish on first five casts. Second lake hit caught 12 on first 12 casts. Finished morning with around 40 total. Had some good eaters but released everything. Gills were pulling extra hard, maybe just me. Name: IMG_5116.jpg

Nice fish Jim and some good numbers too. Everyone likes the colors on these gills I get but I’d like to see some like y’all get further north. Sure are pretty.

Actually caught three green sunfish about the same size in the 7-8" range. Don't catch many at this lake but they run larger than other lakes, usually just a pain in the A.
