Default Santa Ana wind ruins fishing plans. Southern California curse.

I actually drove out to the lake this morning despite heavy wind advisory and turned right around and came home, they were not jiving the wind was howling out there. I just thought it might be calm like yesterday morning when I first got there then the wind came up later. Guess I will pour some more baits today and wait the wind out.Name: Early morning bite 12-4-17 004.jpg

We ain't doin' it right. Just got back from the marina - went to check on the cover and the tie downs because of the winds.
Saw one of my dock buddies - old Vietnamese guy, I can't understand him and he don't understand me. We know Carp & Bluegill and I like to watch his style of fishing (very long poles with floats). He only caught 2 fish today - 1 big Carp (he motioned that he threw it back) and 1 Bluegill. What a BG! Probably >2.5lbs - I was shocked.
Think I'm going to be fishing in the Marina a little bit more....
Good timing too - have to send the boat in for service. They said maybe 2 weeks before they can get to it. but I have to leave it there.

I remember when they would let you fish in the marina with your boat, one of the hottest spots on the lake. I'm going in the morning, poured a bunch of mini jigs today so I have plenty now. Hope these winds let down tomorrow, I need to fish!
