I attach the bites to the hook of a 1/64oz black or other color jig. I prefer to cast and slowly retrieve. Deadly on Bream. Under cork is fine also.

I use them a couple ways I carry 2 bottles one is dried out a little. Works well for putting nibble directly on hook. Second jar is normal nibbles, I bought a blunt tip syringe at the local farm and home for giving animals medicine. I use it to inject the nibbles into tubes works really well. Most of the time the tube needs to be changed before it needs re injected.

The cheap version that I think magic bait makes in the green and pink work great on a 1/64 jig head and a number 8 hook

They work great for bream, I attach to hook on small jig 1/64 - 1/32nd. Cast and retrieve slowly. Favorite colors is black and white, with chartreuse nibbles.

Oh yeah they work. Heck sometimes I just put a nibble on a #8 or #6 gold hook and dunk her in. Most often they are used to tip either a hook with 2 sections of Berkley Gulp waxies or to tip a very small plastic jig on a 1/32oz head. Just experiment with a bunch of stuff to see what they want.

For me they work for bream, crappie and the occasional small bass.
