DB4D I was wondering when you were going to give some information. You have more knowledge in where to get this stuff here than I do. I just sold over 100 of various floats and can get all I need from Randy. I have switched styles of fishing and have not kept up with the Match stuff over here at all. The one thing I cannot find is the match rods. I have one I got from Randy 30 years ago and will not part with it and sold all of my poles. The spinning course rods are the finest rods I have seen period. The last source for them quit handling them about 5 years ago.

Here is a link to get some of you started in float fishing. There is lots of information in there for anyone that is interested.

Probably a poor choice of words. I might have been better spoken to say he is attempting to bring them more into the mainstream.
    Thanks for the correction.

If you want to see how effective this system is watch the link below. It is in HD and you need to watch it in full screen.

That is brilliant - what a rod! It always fascinates me the way the Brits eschew the use of reels in this match angling stuff. Being a Yank and brought up on "sport fishing," it is hard for me to fathom. We have really gotten into some strange territory here, folks! :-)
And don't you love those floats, hooks and the "feeding" (what we call chumming). This is controlled fishing.

I have several: one Bass Pro, one Cabela's and several Euro match rods. Here are two sources I know of for match rods:

    New World Carp Rods

I have never ordered from either of these two places. They were linked on the Bankfishing USA website, so they should be reliable. Email Tony Forte (the Bankfishing USA webmaster) if you have any questions about them.

If you want to try an English shop, contact Benwick Sports. I have ordered from them on several occasions.

I'm not a member of Big Bluegill, but I went to the site and found his post. That's John Wilkins. I know John and have fished with him a few times.
