Hey Josh just keep posting your results I enjoy seeing them. There aren't to many young guys catching the kind of fish you catch. Promoting your sponsors doesn't bother me any it comes with the job.

There has been too much animosity towards the success Josh has on the water. I can't see where it would do him any good to compete in any of the Okie Tournaments. He'd be putting himself in a no win situation on a personal note. I've heard both sides of several stories. I think certain people should worry about themselves and not others. You guys will have to be content with continuing to whip me and take my money at the tournaments I participate in.

I have fished Kaw for more years than I want to mention. Don't care what anybody says, when you pay your entry fee for a tournament we all have 1 goal in mind and that's to win it. If we didn't think we had a slight chance, we wouldn't be there. With todays technology, I don't think there's such a thing as (My Home Lake). I will say it helps having knowledge of the water you are fishing but everyone has gotten so much better at finding fish faster than ever don't believe anyone has a real advantage To me winning a tournament on a lake that I'm not familiar with would be a little more rewarding than winning it on a lake I have fished a thousand times where you are expected to do well. I am gong to pay my entry fee just like everyone else and would bet my chances of winning are very slim. Kaw is very capable of producing a 14 to 15 lb stringer of fish in a tournament especially with the talent that's out there today. The older you get the more you will appreciate just being out there. It takes some knowledge to consistently catch 2 lb plus crappie but I will say from my standpoint there's a little luck involved there to.

I think my reply came across differently than I intended, and I'm going to try to delete it. I was trying to respond in a much gentler way than the posts that I anticipated were fixing to happen. I enjoy seeing everyone succeed, and if I came across as mean-spirited than I apologize. I think intentions and perception often get taken out of context via text versus verbal communication, and I think I was guilty of misinterpreting Josh's post. Anywho, keep the posts coming and good luck to everyone.

Josh, I agree with the other posts. You HAVE had some guys take potshots at you, but that doesn't mean that everyone is against you. I've met several of these guys, and they are a GREAT bunch. Take the advice about going to a camp. I had a super time at the Skiatook camp last spring. Not one sour grape, just great comradery and learning and swapping with other guys.
ps. I really wanted to hit that belle Starr dock tourney, just to get a chance to win the drawing to go out with you. Unfortunately, I don't have a boat or the money to get one. Good luck with your guide service, and let the potshots just roll off your back.
