    Default Garmin Panoptix???

Has anyone used the Garmin Panoptix? I am really liking the videos i have seen on youtube including one where they targeted crappie. But as we all know videos can be edited and make things look a lot better then they are. Would like some feedback if anyone has used it or seen it used. Still love Lowrance but may have to put a Garmin on front if Panoptix works as well as it seems.

Well if you put a Garmin on front might as well put one on back. Sucks not having units share waypoints.

I agree Nip but i really want to be able to control my Xi5 with the HDS while i am cruising around looking. I fished with a guy once that ran his XI5 with only his HDS and never left the center console. I was really impressed. That Panoptix looks really nice and i can see it being useful for so many things from netting shad to cast/drag for crappie and even for catfish. Here is the vid that really got my attention. https://youtu.be/cBsdg333KM4

Oh I've seen the video. I thought you were wanting to replace your front unit but you could keep your lowrance and then run the garmin next to it.

That's pretty cool! I see Scott Martin on TV say look... there he is and I have no idea what the heck he's looking at. It just always looked like a bunch of interference to me.

Got to see Josh's live yesterday. I had no idea what I was looking at at first but he showed me a couple of things and it came to life for me. Once you know what you are looking at it's pretty user friendly. Saw fish under a dock on the other side of a walkway 7 feet out and 8 feet down, grabbed the 10 foot rod, reached over the walkway, dropped the jig, and boom, crappie on!
