How did the tournament go?
I'm out. Have to work Saturday to help pay those bills.
Todd Huckabee and George Nail nailed them for the win with 7.25 and big fish 1.55, Doug and Brian 2cd with 6.82, Dennis Keener and Mark ? 3rd with 5.11, my wife had 2cd big fish at 1.19 and yes she is still rubbing it in .....we had six teams fish and it was a little tough finding the bite...they wanted it running from them...could not get hit verticle jigging

Also we caught our dragging it through lay downs and brush close to the bank...2 to 6 fow...she was using a crazy angler something in the pumpkin color, i was using brush gliders but changed to wasshoppa because I had that it in that color....timmy tom jigheads...pitch in up toward the bank and drag it off through the cover and they would hammer it.....I wasn't expecting them to be that shallow due to a cold front and it rained on and off til about noon

I am shocked to hear only 6 teams entered with Gaines being one of the top challenges/tourneys held in the past. Glad you guys found fish and glad to hear Todd got in on it. Always wondered why he doesn't come out and fish a few tourneys with us just for fun. Andy, you have a pretty good partner it sounds like. Think she carried you at the Masters on Big E to didn't she? Thanks for the report on how you caught the fish!
Brian and I also caught our fish pitching a 1/16 oz Timmy Tom weed less jig head with a Mikes Custom bait in pumpkin/char and a Bobby Garland slab slayer in black/pink. We kept the boat in 5-7 fow and pitched to laydowns and stumps. If a fish was there we caught it the first or second pitch. Bite was good early then a lull, then was great after noon. We probably caught 45 fish with about half of them being keepers. We also caught over a dozen bass from 1 to 3 pounds and got our line broke twice. Beautiful day on the water.
