Thanks Ken for the info. I'll be heading out there later this week! Would love me a Dingo rod!

Thomas Hill is heated all year by the power plant. There is a ramp and fishing dock right where hot water outlet comes into lake.

VH, have any idea if there are electrical outlets where a person could plug in an electric heater?

Spent Christmas with some of the kids and grand kids at Skiatook. Spent two afternoons at the Claremore dock. We slayed the 4"-7" crappie and the 4"-5" sandies, as well as the shad that you snagged every time you missed a bite. We DID get the occasional larger crappie or sandie or bluegill. The best fisherman there was Max, an 8-year-old, who just laughed every time I asked if I could borrow his pole or his little spoons. Max and I fished side by side most of the 2nd day, as he caught 3-4 fish to every one that I caught. My grand kids were razzing me pretty good. They told me that maybe I would finally know how they felt when I was smacking the fish and they weren't. Right before we had to leave (keep the women happy), Max got five or six 11"-13" crappie, and I lost one about 14"s on a little black and orange spoon.
The local people were really sociable, and cheered every time Max got a good one. They said the the big ones come in early in the morning or just about sunset (when we had to leave).
It was pretty crowded, no room on the inside, but you could get a space on the outside (about like CB was a couple of years ago). They said the heaters work fine.

I made it out to CB yesterday, and it was a slow day. The weather was nice, but the fishing was slow. I managed to take home six 8-9" fish after fishing for five hours. After I got home, something dawned on me. Most of the fish I caught where hooked through the center of the bottom lip. Anyone have any theories about why they would be hooked through the bottom lip and not the side or top? Just for reference, I was double jigging 1/8 oz jigs.

This is just my theory; Most likely from fishing a little to deep and the fish is having to dive bomb the jig. Since they have limited visibility below them it would be easy for the fish to be off it's mark when it hits the jig.
