I use an old 48 qt cooler in the boat for main storage, just put a trash bag flat on top before closing lid, no leaks. Also 5 gallon water jugs work well. I have Mr bubbles 12vdc pump on boat for aeration. Pump been on boat for 5 yrs going strong. Probably got a 100 minners in the boat right now, been there for at least 5 weeks, waiting for the ice to leave my home lake.

I also use an old 48 qt igloo ice chest that I drilled a small hole in the top of one side to run my aerator. For the record I RARELY EVER USE A MINNOW. But this has worked for me for years. Come on down Mark, would like to see you and your Missouri guys and gals.

How many dozen minners do you guys get at a time anyway. I got a frabil 8 qt and can get 5 dozen in it easy enough and keep them If I keep on it. I was thinking about the 13 quart Engle or maybe the 19 which I would think either would hold 15 dozen. A 48 would be huge to me, take up half the boat.

i have the 19qt and last weekend i got a half pound of minnows and that was several dozen and it was almost too big. the 13 would have been plenty. The 19 doesnt take up much room though and when I start rigging a lot, I am gonna be glad i got the 19.

I use the 48 qt cooler with just 3-4 inches of water in it. I bought 15 dozen last time I bought, It will keep them good in the winter with the colder temps. replace water every 4-6 days, depending how dirty it is!

I got the 19 quart and glad I did, makes life easy. I seine my own minnows and usually stock up when I find a good school. The 19 is really not noticeably bigger than the 13 space wise. One thing I would recamend is buy a descent hose kit and bigger stone for it, the hose that came with mine pinches shut easy, way to thin a hose to compare with the quality of the rest of the unit. I had a universal 110 volt in- 12v out power supply that works great in the garage between trips. 3 days with over 10 dozen in it and have only added 2 frozen bottles of ice in that time, was 80 today. great bait cooler and doesn't leak!! Austin Kayak has a great price on them, with stellar shipping!! http://www.austinkayak.com/products/...r-BC-19.html/1

clfarms1, Frabill makes two aerators sizes that have a 12vdc adapter to plug into your boat. (1435,1433 ) You can go to Cabelas and find them, they cost $14.00 - $29.99. I have had mine for about a year with no problem.
