    Default Draper Lake

I have tried to find some information on the OKC.GOV website about the status of the projects affecting Draper. The last time I was out there (in October) the water level was still very low, and there was a lot of work being done around the marina. Does anyone know what is being done by the marina, and when the water level is expected to be back at a normal level?

The link provides a one page PDF with some information about the recent activity at Draper Lake. Interesting statistic is that OKC removed six cars from the lake. I'm shocked they didn't find at least one person in those cars! OKC also estimates the lake to re-open around October 2012.

Here's some info from the City ....

Since September, Draper has risen about 6.5 ft. and the models predict that it should come up enough that by Summer 2013, people will be able to launch small boats off the main boat ramp. However, last year we had a drought year and predictions are that this year and possibly the next will be a continuation of last year's drought conditions. If that happens, since the North Canadian River drainage has been most severely affected, the City will depend heavily on Draper Lake as our main water supply and higher use from Draper could delay filling the lake to a usable elevation for an unknown time.
