Was sold years ago to the Choctaw tribe, who ran a bingo hall there. Then sold again to Scientologists, now a drug treatment facility.
Is it still open ?
What's the story with it .

"We're all very different people. We're not Watusi, we're not Spartans, we're Americans. With a capital "A", huh? And you know what that means? Do you? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world."
John Winger
What's a nice place to stay in the Eufaula / McAlester area ? Ya know, something nicer than the Best Western. Wife and I are wanting to go eat at Petes Place, don't wanna drive down and back in one day.
It depends what you mean by "nice place". Hotels in McAlester are the usual...Motel 6, Super 8, etc for about $55-65.00 per night. Then it goes up to Holiday Inn for about $110.00 per night. It depends what you want. Do you want McAlester or Eufaula? I know of a brand new cabin in Eufaula with a fridge and microwave and usual hotel type stuff. Patti
The falls inn b@b is nice for around 60 to 80 per night

Rip Van Winkles Lodge in Eufaula is nice. Last time I stayed there, slept like a log for 20 years. Still paying on that bill.
AMERICANS: Willing to cross a frozen river to kill you, in your sleep, on Christmas, totally not kidding, we've done it.
Thanks, sounds like the Falls Inn is something I need to check out. Much appreciated.
