Little change of pace today was nice. Been on the bluecat for a while and changed to crappie today. Caught some nice fish. No minners in the boat today.
Great job Tim.

Good to meet you today at the lake Tim. Thanks for the catfish pointers. Got Taylor on a couple nice cats and a real mess of slabs. Great day on the water.

You to buddy. See you on the water
Good to hear from you Kenny. Haven't seen you on the water in awhile. Just figured you are like the rest of the old farts settin around the coffee shop in the air conditioning tellin lies about fishin and tryin to keep your skirt pulled down over your knees when it's a little warm outside. On a more serious note, as you can see on the graph from yesterday, the crappie are alive and well on Kaw. This is all crappie about 5 to 9 inches long with a few bigger ones scattered in. There were 1000's of them. Think we are gonna be fine. As for minners, I seen it again yesterday. Had a relative that brought minnows and they caught 4 to 1 bigger fish than I caught with jigs. Kaw is a fickle lake. If you want to consistently catch bigger crappie you better have minners. I caught more fish than they did but not nearly as many big fish. And Daryl by the way you can't even hear the aerator on one of those Engel Bait Keepers. LOL

Had some other things going on but I went to Kaw a couple of times in the past month and got skunked. Guess I'm gonna have to hire you to show me the ropes on this "fickle" lake. Been going to Ponca and Sooner instead, no crappie but at least I don't get skunked. LOL
Kenance,
Kaw is good crappie lake. I caught a lot of 12"- 15" slabs at Kaw in the month of May. By the way, you need to watch for Lake Ponca. EDQ just added it to the Fish Consumption Advisories.
Was wondering if anyone dishes the trees in five fingers area and what's the opinion of that area...
