I have one but don't use it much when fishing. If I'm fishing cranks,I bring the fish in the back of the boat and I have to pass the rod around all the poles that hold the top, a real pain. I can't seem to bring the fish up the side with 4 poles without tangling. If I am spyder rigging, the top doesn't come far enough forward to do any good. I have 2 sportbrellas. If we are just cruising around, you can't beat it. I do use it all the time on the pontoon.

Bimini top is only good for Cranks. It doesn't help for Spider rigging

Have you tried the 9 ft sportsbrella? I considered a bimini, but seemed to have more cons than pros . We set up 2 sportsbrellas . They just seem more versatile than a top, and easier to land fish with long poles.

Look at Amazon. I got a great deal on one thru Amazon Warehouse Deals. It was returned by someone. I got about $30 off. It worked great for me, the dog and Grandkids.

Boatcoversdirect.com is a local owned business in SC. They are super to work with. They will send you samples of materials and colors so you know what you are getting. You can build your own via their website or call and one of the sweet southern ladies will walk you through getting exactly what you want.

They are somewhat of a pain, but, I could not fish without it. I use a umbrella to.
