cleaning question
have any of yall ever used a tumble drum to clean blue gill and shell cracker. been flirting with buying one but don't want to spent 200.00 not knowing anything about em. i've always just fillet em but i got some family members that like whole fish

I’ve used a homemade version and it worked well. Put 12-15 fish in,turn on, drink a beer, and they done.

I just cleaned 25 BG & Red ears, I scaled them with a spoon and dressed them in 20 minutes. Unless you are going to do a lot of scaling, I would use a spoon! $1.00+-

If you get one, you can tumble the fish, then filet and leave the skin on. That is how we cleaned them years ago. But scaled with a spoon, then fileted.
