    Default Not crappie fishing but...


    My son talked me into fishing the Legends Boats tourney al Lake Fork, TX. 350,000 in prizes, with the first three places winning 60,000+ bass boats, first place being a Legend bass boat! We were kinda deflated this morning when it was announced on the radio live update that someone weighed in a 13.7 lb bass, lol. Gonna be hard to top that. There were also several 10 lb+ bass weighed in. Tomorrow is the final day, so we will need a 14lb green carp to win, lol.

    Well, spent 3 great days with My son Joe. He caught a 9lb bass Sunday, but it didn't pass the slot, it was 22 inches but a beautiful fish. All in all, we had a great time fishing together and talking about fishing together as he was growing up. In a way, that beats winning anything. The 13+ lb fish held up to win the biggest fish. Congrats to whoever it was.

    Time well spent. Other than seeing my sons accept Christ and their baptism , nothing replaces time in the woods/field .It is not only who we are but what we cherish .
