The bait shop in Frayser has been closed for some time. It has moved to the very end of Watkins close to Shelby Forest State Park.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

I guess that's settled. No bait shops in Memphis, just in the surrounding area. Build a holding tank like some of us have and order what you need.
"It has moved to the very end of Watkins close to Shelby Forest State Park." Map search shows Watkins ends at hwy 51.

In the gas station? I didn't know they had minnows there, can you get a lake permit for Poplar Tree there too? I always got my minnows and permit at the old General Store when heading to Poplar Tree lake to fish. If you can get minnows and permit at that gas station, I'll never set foot in the old General Store again, can't stand the guy who has been running it for the last 10-15 years. He was trying to sell it for a while, he may have sold it by now and somebody else may be running it but if it is the same guy who has owned it for the last 15 years or so I'd be glad to not have any reason to go there any more.

I know they are never open on Tuesdays no matter what time of the year. I think they go fishing on Tuesdays.
