    Default Pawpaw gene

I took this shortly after you asked about it and kept forgetting to post it. It does seem to like fish heads buried around it!Name: 20171122_172158.jpg

Yes indeed, that looks great. You should be eating a few this coming spring that is if this weather doesn't freeze it. If you can throw a rug or something over it tonight it will probably be ok. Once they reach a couple of years old they are usually safe from freezing. Of course this year my trees are still growing and a freeze can hurt them. Once they go dormant from cooler Fall weather they can usually withstand winter weather. I need to move a few potted ones to the green house for the next few nights.

JR once a long long long time ago I was married to an Italian girl. So I got well acquainted with Italian dishes. The number of cookies they bake for the St. Joseph alter was uncountalbe. The Brocato family is actually Sicilian from Palermo. I have a fig tree named Palermo Red. Brocato makes the best Spumoni Gelato. Another great Sicilian place is Central Grocery and Deli in the Quarter. I drove from Thibodeaux to Central Grocery many times to get my father in law a muffuletta because he got the urge. Much time has passed since then but some memories persist, some good and some bad.
