    709 bucks for remanuf minn kota 55 with i pilot and blue tooth.. sounds good. Are they easy to install?

    You have to use stainless steel bolts washers and locknuts....you have to be able to get underneath to put these on. If not you will have to get some rivnuts installed.

    Get you a Minn Kota quick release bracket which you can slide back the unit, or take it off. It's made of aluminum and very durable. Mount it first. I'm sure glad I have mine, use it often:

    guessing the motor guide holes and the minn kota holes will not be in the same locations?

    No they won't, at least not on mine when I switched from MG to Minn Kota.
