    Default High Rock today 4-23

It was windy, rainy but I just HAD to go. No one wanted to join me on short notice! Good weather has not been on my side during off days.
One of the best days of crappie fishing ive ever had. Single rod jigging. Easily 150+ caught. Biggest 3 over 2lbs, but not much over. One of the roughest rides ive had on a lake coming in.

The big females are rolling up now getting ready to spawn with this full moon upcoming. Didnt see a boat all day.

And before anyone decides to troll and complain about the pile of fish, just know 1/2 are going to a good cause.

May have to try again tomorrow or Wednesday before the mud rolls in.

    Water temp steady 63-64 degrees.

The pic does no justice. I was taking a few over the bow. 2-3fters.

Nice mess of fish! It really seems like the wind is worse this year. I've had some of the roughest boat rides recently than I've ever had in the 10-12 years I've been going to the lakes. Reminds me of the days we spent at the coast growing up.

If God didn't want us to eat crappie he wouldn't have made them taste so good. Nothing wrong with keeping a pile of crappie if folks are going to enjoy eating them.
