    BigEyeCrappieman 2/17 Harris Lake Results

Feb 17 2018 will be a date to remember in the NC Crappie Fishing World . 26 teams showed to chase the Elusive BigEyeCrappie. After two days of 70 degree weather and a stiff Southwest wind just like clock work a cold front comes through and drops the air temps 30 degrees. You would have thought the bite would be tough, but !! These guys are some real Crappiemasters . Lots of Big Fish were caught and returned to the lake for another blessing one day and some went to the frying pan . Fish were caught in 12 ft of water up into a foot of water . The team of Tony Auclair and Jeremy Schmidt hauled in a 7 Fish Limit topping out the scales at a whopping 14.980 pounds edging out the team of Jimmy Perry and Jeff Williford who also had a whopping 14.260 lbs . The Big Fish of the Day was caught by the Team of Aaron and Evan Stack and team member Graham Womble with a 2.545 lb monster edging out Freddie Sinclair’s 2.540 lb beauty. Lots of 2 pounders caught . Stories of Big Bass breaking lines and Monster Crappie swimming off with the rig. I loved every minute of it !! And In the Devotion time we shared from The Book of Genesis in Gods Word about Noah . How he obeyed God and Built an Ark and how he must have been ridiculed for around 100 years as he built it. But he continued building it until it was finished and then one day God told him and his family to get in the Ark . God closed the Door and the day of judgment came . Those who didn’t go through the door into the Ark died . There is another day of judgement coming upon the earth and the only way to be saved from it is to enter into God’s Kingdom through the Door He provided. Just like the Ark there is only one door . Jesus Christ is that Door. We enter in through Him. All who enter will be saved from the fire of Gods coming Wrath . But one day and nobody knows when God will close the Door again and all who refused to believe and enter in will perish . We prayed that all our guys would believe and be saved and we Thanked God for such a blessed day and for safe travels home. We were also blessed as Wounded Warrior William Stewart and his care givers Tim Grimes and Michael Brown joined us for the day . We are so Thankful for the Sacrifice William gave serving our Great Country that we are so blessed to live in . Thanks William!! And Thank you Tim and Michael for looking after him. Here are the results of such a blessed day as we Fellowshipped On and Beside the water .

That is some very impressive numbers. This may be the highest weight total of any crappie tournament in NC. I know that Santee-Cooper in SC has had bigger tournament numbers, but if anyone knows of bigger numbers in this state, please let us know.

Huge Congrat's to Tony (Redboat) and Jeremy (Crataegus) for the winning amount. If I heard right, all seven fish were over TWO POUNDS. Totally outstanding weigh-in. Here's a couple of pictures. Go to Bigeyecrappieman on Facebook and you can see lots of more pictures.

One more outstanding fact from Sat.--twenty-one of the teams weighed in over seven pounds. I know on our boat every fish we caught weighed over a pound, so truly an outstanding day on the water.

Didn't mean to leave Aaron out--big fish of the day at 2.545lbs. This is just his second year tournament fishing and doing a good job. His team includes his son Evan and friend Graham.

Great job, very impressive! Looks like allot of good fisherman fish this trail. Wish we had more like this in VA where I live. Like that you fish different lakes and overall low cost. Great job to all involved.

Roy think about coming down for the 3/17 one on Falls Lake. Hickory Hill is practically right off of I85.
