Nice. I’ve caught some really nice ones on lake lookout.
I used to fish / eat yellow perch a bunch when I was a young kid fishing with my Grandpa in South Dakota. I've caught some very small ones in Jordan before but when I pulled this out of the water I was excited and immediately started thinking about my Grandpa. The perch was 9 1/2" long and my first ever keeper yellow perch from NC. It's belly was FULL, probably from the shad feast that was happening nearby. Anyone else catch this class of yellow perch on Jordan?

Like you, I have only caught small ones on Jordan. To get the nice ones, we go to some of the rivers in Eastern NC at this time of year to catch them. Redboat (Tony) is an expert at finding filleting-size yellow perch in NC.
James, rhodhiss and hickory holds decent size yellow perch.
I live on the coast of NC. Our creeks and rivers are loaded with yellow perch. As a matter of fact we are holding a Crappie/Perch bash this Saturday at Bob's Fishing Hole. All are welcome to come. 5 dollars big fish pot. My son two weeks ago pulled in almost a citation yellow perch.
