I have tried jigging timber on Jordan as well with the exact same results, granted I have only been fishing Jordan for about 13 months now and only gave it an honest effort twice.
Haven't ever tried jiggin timber before but tried it out at Jordan this week with no luck. Got a couple soft bites but couldn't connect. Is it just the wrong time of year or is jiggin timber not worth it Jordan?

i ve caught them in that flooded forest but it takes time to find the sweet spots, there is a ton of flooded timber on jordan, and its true that 90%of the fish are in 10% of the water
This time of the year, if you get very far from the 64 bridge, you have left the fish.

some people like to zig when others zag, or stray off the beaten path, and are usually rewarded for there efforts, i say stick with it
In the eastern rivers shallow timber jigging is technique for spawn time. Around cypress trees and stumps and whatnot. Not sure if it's the same in inland lakes. I've filled a limit jigging one cypress tree during spawn, which is about three weeks earlier down here. Two cents for what it's worth.
