Holy Cow! The water temp seems to be quite cooler. Get a lot of rain over there?
haven't hit tuckertown in a long time and just wanted a change of scenery, water is clean down lake and starts to get some good color above newsome, water temp down lake was 82 up lake 77, caught fish up and down lake, about 10-14' deep, most were small but there were some decent (13'') fish mixed in, fish seem to be relating to the flats 13'-16' deep, fished over alot of brush, stumps and wood with nothing, just plain old hard flat bottom seemed to be the best, color didn't seem to matter to much, pink and pearl was the slight winner, that green snot seems to be bad around the bank, saw a wildlife boat out spraying the stuff, some type of blue chemical, oddly enough the only fish we caught were crappie, not a single white perch or catfish
mac crappie, newly LIKED above post

Wow you did want a change. Haven't been in several years. Fish on the flats sounds like years and years ago. I'm sure all my brush piles have melted down, but it might be fun to try some of the old structure. Glad you found some. You found 77 degree water and I marked 96 degrees today at Belews Creek. Had to go almost to 158 to find 84 degree water. 14 to 16 in 21, but they were on wood.
yes we have been getting rain almost every evening for two weeks now, not sure about your brush piles simple but there is still alot of wood and rock piles on that lake, took a bit to get them dialed in, i marked some real good sized fish on a stump row, but no takers, not sure if they were crappie or not, now i got that dang lake on my mind and wanna go back to really figure them out, we were trolling and there were two sweet spots, id like to tightline those areas, saw two other boats crappie fishing, both with corks, one was catching some, thought if might be somebody on here
Sounds like a good day. We are going to have to go one day. Let it get a little cooler.
Good job Kev, way to get after them.
