Lake Townsend 11-27:Report
Fished Lake Townsend yesterday. It has been 10 years since I last crappie fished on this lake. Caught 24 longlining jigs. Water temp 54 degrees. Threw out my 6 rods and sat down and immediately a rod slammed down like the good bites do. First fish was over 14 inches and weighed 1 lb 12 oz. I had been fishing for 1 minute. Bite was slow but quality fish. Had 3 fish 14 inches and weighed 1 1/2 lb to 1 3/4 lb. Other fish in the 3/4 /b range. Kept a few to eat. Good day on the water.

Crappie Wall Hanger
brings back some good memories. used to fish it years ago around the dogget rd culvert and all that cove. been many a sad ol crappie come over side of the boat from there. if the water ever gets low enough to get under dhurch street bridge, long line right up the channel there.
