    Default Moss today.

Got out to moss this morning about 6:30 and it was very nice, slick as glass and cool. My wife was with me and the first fish we caught was waiving a white flag that had "NO MORE" written on it. We fished on and caught another and it had the same sign! Now we were baffled for sure. Well you guessed it, the next one had the same sign so I asked him, Mr fish what is up with all the signs? He told me we can't take it anymore! And I asked what are you talking about? He said that all of the fish in the lake have been caught and caught and caught again by some fisherman and they thought we were him. He did tell me that we had a better looking jig than the other crowd with a little more pizazz and that is why he bit my lure. I told him that I understood and I put him back in the water and moved onto the next spot.

I'll put my color up against your's any day...... your just like blabber mouth , you got every color except the right one. But You do tell a GOOD story, no truth to it, but good. I got a real good story to tell, can't believe you hadn't heard it yet.It should be all over boiling springs by now! (No it's not that we caught 170 crappie this week.) It's a good one and the truth,I'm still laughing about it a week later! It would be nice to hear about the fishing, how they bit , what the conditions were, how deep, what technique, did you help me with building up any piles while you were there?
How long were you on the water, what was the water temp, water color, I mine WHAT KIND OF A REPORT IS THIS?

I want to be perfectly clear in the thought process regarding a reply to the above response. There has been quite a good bit of my time devoted to this and so that no feeling are scarred and that folks who don't really know us understand that CBNC really does like me. And also that i have decided to answer his rants in the best way that i know how; which is to answer them just like i was asking him and while doing that i will go ahead and tell the whole story on a couple of matters. #1 he did take blabbermouths son fishing last week and he should be praised for doing so because it is admirable and it is just the right thing to do. That is a fact and there is no denying that. Part of the first comment regarding colors was made due to the fact that blabbermouth sent his son fishing with his tackle box and while his son was fishing he turned around and CBNC had decided to help himself to the contents of the tackle box and to take an inventory of what he saw. Most of what he found he turned his nose up at and that action was the assumed response in that case the majority of times when that happens. He will also come up and pull rods out the boat and climb into the boat when it is parked at the house. We are sure that behavior is normal and everybody does it. And as for the of the other items I am supposed to respond to- the fishing was glorious, the lake was completely consumed by a extremely thick fog when we arrived at approximately 6:30. As we made our way to the fishing grounds for the day we were greeting by slick as glass conditions and pleasantly cool ambient temperatures while we scouted some areas to fish. After deciding where to start we decided to jig fish on a brush pile and due to the conditions we put on a Monk Special that has proven to be effective in early morning conditions for us. And as we expected a very nice fish on the first cast and we just knew it would be a good day. The water was just the right color and we were able to stay on the brush pile without much fuss for the trolling motor and we seemed as if we had bothered those fish enough and decided to move to the next spot we had picked out. The sun was now up on the horizon so a bait change was certainly in order and as we pulled up and noticed the fish on the next pile we dropped down and both rods went down at the same time. There is just something about feeling that bowed rod and seeing the fish come up and having a beautiful morning unfold that is really hard to top in my book. Most of the fish were down in the 15-20 foot range so far that day. As the sun heated things up and moved higher in the sky we decided to try some docks and the first one we pulled up to did not disappoint us. It held a great many fish and we started plucking them out as fast as we could. We stayed till noon time and the wave makers had descended upon us and we decided to call it a day and head on in. We did not have any structure available to add to the forest but it is in the works. i hope you all enjoy the time on the water with family and friends. It is truly special and makes for great memories.

If you would put 1/4 of that effort into fishing like you did in that last post, you could out fish me any day! My bait works from sun up til dark, just saying...... no need to change colors when you got the right one.
