thats my go-to lure for pond bream and bass. Kalins/Southern Pro 2" John Deere on a 1/16oz chartreuse jighead on a gold beetle spin style spinner blade. They worked very well for us back in 2007 before we dicovered minnows for crappie fishing.

anybody that knows me, knows that this is my jig. i've used them exclusively since ''08 and have been, in my mind, very sucessful with them. i caught six crappie today with them at jordan, fishing from the bank. i can't wait for this warm up next week when they will help me put a limit in my bucket.

Newly, What happened with that Black/blue thing you were so hot on last week?

Also, you need to keep that JD Green quiet- that's an old indian secret.

Oh its still there. Matter of fact its the only jig color I have in my tackle box. but the jig head color is the ol cowboy secret. It is feeling lonely. :p

But they dont know where to troll like you pete. I think you have the luck of them jumping in the boat. You can catch them with just a dull hook with nothing on it! Thats why we need to go fish!
